Description

In this position, you will be part of the Ford Model E team, which is responsible for developing key technologies and capabilities for electric vehicles. As an Embedded Software V&V Manager, you will lead and mentor a team of V&V engineers, manage project timelines, and oversee resources and budgets to ensure timely delivery of validation activities.

Your responsibilities will include defining and implementing comprehensive V&V strategies for embedded software, overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of robust automated test frameworks and infrastructure, and establishing and maintaining V&V processes and methodologies.

You will also be responsible for test planning, quality metrics, compliance with industry standards, and collaboration with software development, systems engineering, and product management teams.

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. You should have at least 8 years of experience in embedded software V&V or software quality assurance, and at least 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.

You will also need strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities, as well as excellent communication skills for stakeholder management. Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, requirements and defect management tools, and architecture knowledge are highly desirable.
