Description
We are seeking a VME Stamping Engineer to join our team in Rayong, Thailand. As a VME Stamping Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the Stamping Single Panel feasibility process, developing 2D/3D Stamping Process, and ensuring all tools being developed to reach maximum SPM (ECR).
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with VME Team, vehicle operations, engineering teams and suppliers.
- Leading the Stamping Single Panel feasibility process following the required metrics and timings for each loop.
- Developing 2D/3D Stamping Process.
- Raising Purchase Orders etc. as required for Tooling and Facilities.
- Leading Die Design Reviews, tooling reviews and buyoff activities.
- Ensuring all tools being developed to reach maximum SPM (ECR) overcoming all possible interference that can be found.
- Supporting during launch phase to ensure Engineered Cycle Rate (ECR) achieved prior production handover.
- Compiling and reporting LQOS (Launch Quality Operating System) metrics + attending all launch meeting cadences.
- Buying off tooling at supplier site, ensuring timely in plant delivery timing allowing for robust launch and early PSW completion knowledge of FMEA/PFMEA methodologies and their application.
- Assisting all Launch and Sheet Metal quality activities.
- Supporting to complete PSW process and acquire required customer acceptance.
- Working with both facility and tooling team both within to ensure all launch metrics are delivered.
- Supporting to Identify and analyze deviations from established company quality standards.
- Conducting root cause investigations and prevent re-occurrences.
- Supporting PVT & TVM activities as required.
- Developing and training LNE teams on all sites to be capable of: Overcoming issues such as splits and wrinkles.
- Improving FPA to better-than-expected levels.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in stamping and tool development.
- Experience working with Stamping Core Class A Panels.
- Knowledge of CAD systems (AutoCAD/Catia/3DX/Tebis/Vismockup).
- Solid technical knowledge - 2D/3D drawings (Facilities and Stamping dies).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong trade and hands-on background experience.
- Exposure to both advanced engineering programs and launch.
- Prior experience in stamping production and/or tooling manufacture.
- Self-starter/initiative.
