Description
Anduril Industries is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Systems Administrator to join our team. You will be responsible for helping product and program teams maximize the value they get out of the engineering systems they use on a daily basis (PLM, CAD, CAE, etc.). You will work across a broad set of stakeholders to design, develop, and implement improvements and optimizations to our engineering systems while helping steer future investments.
This role is predominantly focused on our sovereign engineering systems , environments that handle export-controlled goods and data under the Defence Trade Controls Act 2012 and the Defence and Strategic Goods List (DSGL). You will ensure that engineering data management practices comply with Australian export control obligations, and support the management of technical data within systems that may handle controlled information.
Some exposure to classified environments is expected as the role matures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering partners to understand their requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions alongside other Engineer Systems team members
- Provide training and support to users during and post-implementation to ensure adoption of new technology
- Lead the development and implementation of new features, including defining project scope, requirements, timelines, and budgets
- Collaborate with developers to identify and address issues, bugs, and enhancement requests from both PLM and any integration to other systems (CAD, etc.)
- Provide support for the installation and post go-live of upgrades and new modules within PLM
- Work with vendors and third-party service providers to implement upgrades and new modules
- Collect infrastructure and configuration questions for PLM and any integration to other systems (CAD, etc.)
- Ensure engineering data management practices comply with export control obligations (DSGL, DTC Act)
- Support access control and data segregation for export-controlled technical data within PLM systems
- Contribute to the administration of engineering systems within classified environments as required

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in installing, developing, implementing, upgrading, and maintaining Engineer Systems (PLM, CAD, CAE, SysML, etc.) , OR , 5+ years as a systems administrator/engineer in Defence or a highly regulated environment with a willingness to specialise into engineering systems administration
- Understanding of CAD/CAM/CAE systems and their integration with PLM solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to root cause end user and infrastructure related issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of both Windows and Linux systems, along with software installations
- Must be an Australian citizen and eligible to obtain an NV2 clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Siemens Teamcenter (or equivalent PLM platform: Windchill, Enovia, Aras)
- Experience working in environments that handle export-controlled goods or data (DSGL, ITAR, EAR)
- Familiarity with data segregation and access control requirements for controlled technical data
- Background in Defence or national security environments
- Experience with systems administration in classified or accredited environments (ISM, DSPF)
- Understanding of configuration management principles and engineering change processes
- Experience with integration between PLM and ERP systems
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
