Description
As the Head of Manufacturing Test Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and tactical management of production systems to support high-volume products at Arsenal. Your role will involve ensuring rigorous testing protocols are in place, resulting in the consistent delivery of superior quality products to our customers. You will also be responsible for guaranteeing the fulfillment of manufacturing's test throughput requirements.
Key responsibilities include: Directing the manufacturing test engineering team, setting objectives, guiding initiatives, and assessing team outcomes. Architecting and overseeing the manufacturing test strategy to ensure scalable operations across Anduril, transitioning from pre-production to full-scale output. Strategizing and implementing advancements in manufacturing testing, focusing on automation, uniformity, and operational streamlining. Evaluating test data, compiling findings, and identifying opportunities for product and process enhancements. Establishing a robust test infrastructure capable of evaluating diverse hardware scales and complexities. Communicating strategic visions to key stakeholders, guiding the scaling of platforms from pre-production (LRIP) through to mass production (FRP). Collaborating with product development for design testability, ensuring seamless production integration. Leading the procurement and implementation of new test equipment, performing cost-benefit and ROI analyses as needed. Championing initiatives that enhance safety, reduce costs, improve quality, and increase productivity through testing. Developing test protocols within our digital tool stack and providing comprehensive training to technicians and engineers. Determining data collection needs and developing architecture for actionable reporting of data. Administering testing budgets and predicting resource requirements for personnel, equipment, and materials. Implementing comprehensive training and documentation to elevate team expertise and support knowledge transfer. Cultivating a culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and accountability in the engineering department. Acting as the go-to technical authority for manufacturing test matters, advising on and troubleshooting complex issues. Designing proactive maintenance and calibration protocols for manufacturing test equipment.
