Description
We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead; Windows Client Systems Engineer to join our Region Services Corporate Infrastructure (RSCI) team. As a Tech Lead, you will oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of core ADC services, including directory services, file and print, DNS/DHCP, application servers, and management of server/workstation hardware and infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance existing services, including Windows build/deployment capabilities, fulfilling requests for application packaging/deployment, and break/fix scenarios for all technologies managed by the team.
- Work closely with the Security Compliance team to ensure security compliance with all desktop environments.
- Drive team initiatives across the Vector vertical and across Region Services, partnering with Vector Security, Amazon Security, and other AWS internal business units.
- Design, create, adapt, and improve operations management systems and processes to accommodate rapid and increasing growth in systems and traffic.
- Drive expedient resolution and root cause analysis for critical issues affecting services.
- Mentor and develop a team of Operational Engineers with an emphasis on providing dial tone services.
- Lead the development and delivery of state-of-the-art system health monitoring, diagnostics, repair, and other self-healing automation.
- Develop automation tools and processes that reduce manual effort and increase overall efficiency.
- Innovate and drive improvements in monitoring and visualization of system health, status of maintenance tasks, and reporting systems.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or above, or Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.
- 7+ years supporting Windows family of operating systems, including four of the following eight core competencies: AD, DHCP, PowerShell, Email workflow, SCCM, GPO, Win OS, DNS, and disaster recovery/business continuity.
- 2+ years of Technical Lead experience, specifically within the Windows Domain.
- 3+ years' experience in automation/scripting in the Windows environment using PowerShell.
- Experience creating automation tasks such as software packaging and deployment, automated security patching, and Operating System Deployment.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
- 10+ years supporting Windows family of operating systems.
