Description

The QA Engineer is based in Los Angeles, reports to the VP of Engineering, and is a member of the Engineering team. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of Connexity's products through comprehensive testing and quality assurance practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases and test suites.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of web applications and services.
  • Help build, maintain, and expand automated testing frameworks and regression suites.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define test strategies.
  • Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through resolution.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies to ensure quality is incorporated throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Analyze test results and communicate quality risks, issues, and recommendations to project stakeholders.
  • Support testing of APIs, backend services, and web applications.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in test processes, automation, and quality standards.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of production issues when needed.
  • Ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements and customer expectations.
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in software quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Software Testing.
  • Experience testing web-based applications and mobile applications in a fast-paced software development environment.
  • Hands-on experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and regression testing.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to validate data across systems.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
  • Experience using defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with web technologies, including HTTP, REST APIs, client-server architecture, and browser-based applications.
  • Basic experience working in Linux/Unix environments and using command-line tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines in a collaborative environment.
