Description
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Payroll APAC to join our Global Payroll team in Singapore. As APAC Payroll Manager, you will own end-to-end payroll delivery across Airbnb's Asia-Pacific entities, ensuring every employee in the region is paid accurately, compliantly, and on time.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end payroll processing for all Airbnb APAC entities, including Singapore, Australia, Japan, South Korea, India, and China.
- Manage employee lifecycle changes, such as new hires, leavers, promotions, and compensation updates.
- Serve as the regional subject matter expert for CloudPay and Workday, maintaining accurate configuration of country-specific payroll rules, tax logic, and data mappings.
- Ensure the Workday–CloudPay integration operates accurately for all APAC entities.
- Maintain live, current knowledge of payroll legislation, tax law changes, and statutory filing requirements across all active APAC jurisdictions.
- Manage relationships with in-country payroll vendors across APAC.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports, tax filings, and statutory payments.
- Partner with Talent, Finance, Global Mobility, and Tax to maintain accurate employee data.
- Identify and drive process improvement and automation opportunities.
Requirements:
- 6–8 or more years of payroll experience, with at least 3–4 years in a dedicated APAC payroll management role.
- Hands-on experience with CloudPay, including configuration, data mapping, and processing.
- Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll or Workday HCM, including experience with the Workday–CloudPay integration.
- Deep knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory compliance across multiple APAC jurisdictions.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical acumen, and intellectual curiosity.
- Strong experience managing in-country payroll vendors and third-party service providers.
