Description

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our McLaren Special Operations (MSO) team in Woking. As a Project Engineer, you will coordinate engineering activity across MSO programmes, ensuring timely and on-scope delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, track and report engineering deliverables, milestones and programme risks.
  • Lead Engineering Release activities and maintain MSO-responsible Bills of Materials (BoMs).
  • Create, coordinate and manage engineering test plans and capture results.
  • Record concerns, drive root cause analysis and manage resolution of issues raised during build or in the field.
  • Work with the supply chain to secure on-time delivery of components and technical data.
  • Maintain design guides, technical specifications and test specifications; support DFMEA and related activities.
  • Provide technical input to support Design Engineers.
  • Chair engineering meetings, produce clear action-focused minutes and ensure decisions are implemented.
  • Support Product Data Management processes and ensure accurate BoMs and engineering records.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or related engineering discipline.
  • Experience in motorsport or OEM vehicle programmes, ideally low-volume/high-performance.
  • Understanding of engineering release processes, configuration management and BoM control.
  • Experience with DVPs, DFMEAs and engineering test plans an advantage.
  • Practical knowledge of CAD deliverables and ability to review/check models and drawings.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
