As a Trainee SES at Ford Champs, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in different business areas over 12 to 24 months, improving your skills and becoming a better professional.
Your responsibilities will include leading emission and safety compliance, certification, and government relations for Ford products in the Mexican market. You will manage the end-to-end certification process, interpret evolving regulatory landscapes to develop long-term compliance strategies, and evaluate new technologies for regulatory alignment.
As the primary liaison between Ford and Mexican government agencies such as PROFEPA, SEMARNAT, and SEDEMA, you will advocate for environmental and safety policies and represent Ford within key AMIA committees. Additionally, you will provide critical data analysis and forecasting for emission, safety, and fuel economy standards, translating product changes into strategic recommendations for future vehicle offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Manage emission and safety certifications for Ford vehicles in Mexico.
- Liaise with Mexican government agencies (PROFEPA, SEMARNAT, SEDEMA, SE).
- Represent Ford in AMIA Technical and Electrified Vehicles Committees.
- Analyze regulatory changes and forecast future compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with global teams on regulatory issues and manage local vehicle loans.
Qualifications:
- Active student from any of the last 2 semesters of an Engineering Degree (Mechatronics, Cybernetic, Mechanical, Environmental, or Industrial engineering).
- 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Microsoft Office management.
- Desirable: Knowledge of vehicle component's function (Specifically engine design, emissions control, and safety devices).
- Knowledge of VBA, Python, etc. (for processes improvement).
