People Partner Lead, CX

We're seeking a senior People Business Partner to support Gusto's Customer Experience organisation. This role reports to Gusto's Head of People and serves as an embedded partner to the CX Leadership Team.

Responsibilities:

• Build trusted partnerships with CX VPs and the CX Leadership Team
• Lead difficult conversations on talent strategy, workforce planning, and org design
• Empower and develop 2 People Partners who deliver coaching and execute People programs
• Synthesize People data into actionable reads for CXLT
• Build lightweight, scalable People processes and playbooks
• Support core talent programs, including performance cycles and promotion processes
• Reinforce high performance standards and accountability
• Serve as liaison between CX and Gusto's broader People team
• Own end-to-end execution of org changes

Requirements:

• 10+ years of HRBP or People Partner experience
• Background at high-growth SaaS companies, preferably founder-led or recently public
• Demonstrated ability to operate at every altitude and manage a team
• Prior people management experience required
• Strong operator mindset and bias toward action
• Comfortable working with People data and translating it into a clear story
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and hold a lot of detail
• AI-forward mindset

We offer competitive base pay, benefits, and equity (RSUs). The cash compensation amount for this role is between $158,300 - $195,237/year in Denver and between $185,955 - $229,345/year for New York/San Francisco.
