The Air Dominance & Strike (AD&S) team is responsible for autonomous robotics systems like the Fury unmanned fighter jet and the Barracuda family of advanced effects. The AD&S Vehicle Software team develops software for vehicle control, networking, sensor integration, and telemetry.

We are looking for a Robotics Software Integration Engineer, Mission Autonomy to build the foundational vehicle software stack that supports the wide range of AD&S initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software for vehicle control, networking, sensor integration, and telemetry
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to design and implement software
  • Architect software test plans and implement verification strategies with a strong emphasis on automated tests
  • Work with requirements management, risk-based testing approaches, defect tracking, and configuration control

Requirements

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in software testing or related technical experience
  • Experience with requirements-based verification and implementation of verification strategies with a strong emphasis on automated tests
  • Extensive knowledge of software development, processes, and verification tools, such as C/C++, Python
  • Track record of architecting software test plans in the Aerospace and Defense space
  • In-depth knowledge of requirements management, risk-based testing approaches, defect tracking, and configuration control

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience standing up automated hardware-in-the-loop testing infrastructure
  • Functional knowledge of mission autonomy for collaborative platforms, including crewed/uncrewed teaming and formation flight
  • Knowledge of data fusion from multiple sensor and track sources, with understanding of distributed fusion principles
