Job Overview

As a Strategic Solutions Engineer at Okta, you will play a crucial role in advising Fortune 500 customers on the capabilities of Okta's Identity Platform. This involves collaborating with account executives, conducting research to understand customer requirements, and communicating the business value of solving technology problems using cloud technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with account executives to develop and execute territory and account strategies
• Conduct research and discovery to understand customer requirements and present solutions
• Deliver proof-of-concepts (POCs) for customers with complex use cases
• Create technical content to demonstrate how to implement specific use cases
• Prepare and deliver demos showcasing how the Okta platform meets customer business needs
• Communicate customer needs and product feedback to various teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of pre-sales engineering experience
• Experience in a customer-facing role such as consulting or support
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively
• Strong understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM), SSO, MFA, SCIM, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and LDAP
• Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and core security concerns
• Hands-on experience in web, mobile, or backend development is a plus
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple personas
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a comparable field is preferred
