Staff Aircraft Configuration Manager (R5294)

Shield AI is seeking a Staff Aircraft Configuration Manager to serve as the enterprise source of truth for fleet configuration and lead cross-functional configuration change execution within the Aircraft Division.

The successful candidate will maintain the authoritative catalog of approved aircraft configurations, reconcile configuration data across departments, and plan quarterly configuration update rollouts.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the authoritative catalog of approved aircraft configurations
• Reconciling configuration data from various departments
• Planning and executing quarterly configuration update rollouts
• Serving as the primary interface to Engineering for new configurations and ECPs
• Maintaining audit-quality records of configuration changes

The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in aerospace configuration management, program management, or fleet operations
• Formal configuration management experience
• Strong cross-functional coordination and communication skills

Preferred qualifications include:

• An advanced degree in Engineering Management or Systems Engineering
• Prior military experience in aviation maintenance, logistics, or program management
• Experience managing fleet-wide software or hardware update campaigns
• Familiarity with V-BAT, fixed-wing UAS, or other unmanned aircraft systems
