Description
As a Fitter Mechanic, you will be part of our onboard technical department team, responsible for overhauling, repairing, and maintaining all engine room machinery and equipment in a cost-efficient manner that complies with company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities: Efficiently and cost-effectively overhaul, repair, and maintain assigned machinery or equipment as directed by the Senior First Engineer. Maintain strict adherence to safety, cleanliness, and tidiness when performing equipment maintenance, ensuring all maintenance-related tools are used and stored properly. Work with the reporting officer and the Senior Technical Storekeeper to ensure sufficient stocks of spare parts are maintained on board at all times. Promptly provide accurate work history and parts-consumed data for input into Amos. Always follow USPH protocols. Always perform all duties in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, Fleet Regulations, and other internal, external, and governmental regulations as directed. Always follow timekeeping rules and create accurate ILO records. Always perform all General Emergency Organization duties as directed in the Emergency Response Organization.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise: At least 12 months experience working as a Fitter Mechanic or in a similar industry role and relevant technical qualifications. Understanding of the foundation of customer service; ability and willingness to excel in delivering outstanding service to our passengers. Motivation to excel in all aspects of job duties and responsibilities. Willingness to embrace all Company values and Service Credo and lead by example. Ability to adapt and adjust to a variety of circumstances. Ability to establish and maintain courteous and professional working relationships in a diverse cultural environment.
