Description
As a Senior Manager, GPU Firmware at NVIDIA, you will lead a team to develop, debug, and maintain GPU firmware throughout the NVIDIA GPU lifecycle.
You will drive the execution of GPU firmware for multiple consumer product lines with aggressive schedules, and define firmware feature roadmaps to align with hardware and industry specification advancements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team to develop, debug, and maintain GPU firmware
- Driving execution of GPU firmware for multiple consumer product lines with aggressive schedules
- Defining firmware feature roadmaps to align with hardware and industry specification advancements
- Providing direction for design and implementation of creative solutions for boot software
- Collaborating with hardware, software, and business teams to transform new firmware features from idea to reality
- Working with leading OS and PC vendors to improve/innovate the startup experience
- Improving team software process and core infrastructure via projects dealing with build systems and regression farms
- Continuously evaluating and improving security for firmware that functions as a root of trust
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 12+ overall years of experience in the software industry
- A BS or MS degree in EE/CS/CE or equivalent experience
- 6+ years' experience in leading teams developing device BIOS, firmware, or other low-level software
- Strong C skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A deep understanding of software process
- Ability to work closely with both hardware designers and other software engineers and managers
