Description
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Supplier Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical to enable development and production flow of its critical supply base.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing departments as well as suppliers to execute effective supply chain strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing mechanical fabrication commodities/subcategories to execute supplier production strategies
- Being a force multiplier for the Supply Chain team and overall commodity strategy
- Vetting suppliers' production capabilities and facilities
- Supporting Supplier Quality Engineers in ensuring suppliers' understanding and adherence to quality criteria
- Bringing up new production tooling and lines at supplier sites
- Establishing and driving process performance and controls reviews at supplier sites
- Identifying and driving product and process improvements at supplier sites
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field
- 6+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with specific category technical expertise, such as mechanical fabrication manufacturing, IPC standards, CAD, and GD&T
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
- Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or metallurgical/materials engineering, or related technical field
- Previous experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or another related industry
- Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and certifications
- Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance
The salary range for this role is $146,000-$194,000 USD per year.
