FBS Sr Data Engineer (Insurance Experience)

We seek Data Engineer with a strong P&C insurance background to analyse business data stories and translate them into technical requirements. The ideal candidate can independently design, build, test, and implement data products of various complexity with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Acquire, curate, and publish data for analytical or operational uses
• Ensure data is in a ready-to-use form that creates a single version of the truth across all data consumers
• Translate business analytic requests/requirements into design, development, testing, deployment, and production maintenance tasks
• Work independently with various technologies from big data, relational and non-relational databases, cloud environments, different programming languages, and various reporting tools

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of experience as a Data Engineer with ETL using SQL
• At least 2 years Insurance Background – Ideally P&C, flexible for insurance in other areas Health, Life if upskilling is possible
• Advanced SQL skills
• Advanced DBT/ Informatica skills
• Intermediate Snowflake skills
• Intermediate Power BI skills
• Intermediate Python/ PySpark skills
• Intermediate Shell Scripting skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
