Description
We are seeking a driven, open-minded, and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Revenue Accountant. This role will play an important part in supporting and scaling our revenue accounting operations.
As a Revenue Accountant, you will collaborate across Accounting, Revenue Operations, Finance Systems, Data, and GTM teams to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition. You will assist in day-to-day revenue accounting activities, support the monthly revenue close process, prepare revenue and AR-related account reconciliations and analyses, and assist with revenue recognition for SaaS subscriptions and other non-standard arrangements.
You will also partner with Revenue Operations, Finance Systems, and Data teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue-related data, perform variance and flux analysis to identify trends, investigate discrepancies, and explain key business drivers, and support external audits by preparing audit deliverables and responding to auditor inquiries.
To succeed in this role, you will need 2-3 years of experience in public accounting and/or industry, a strong understanding of accounting principles and foundational knowledge of ASC 606, excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
In addition to your technical skills, you will need to be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, have a curiosity to challenge the status quo and leverage technology to build scalable processes and streamline accounting operations, and have a meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
