Description
Our internship programs offer real-world projects, hands-on experience, and opportunities to collaborate with passionate teams globally. As part of the Platform Validation (PV) team, you will work closely with senior engineers on advanced automation initiatives, including designing and developing a multi-AI agent framework for end-to-end runtime validation.
The project focus is on building an AI-agent-based framework that automates the full lifecycle of Fusion Compiler runtime validation, transforming today's manual, reactive workflows into an always-on, autonomous validation system.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design and develop a multi-AI agent framework for end-to-end runtime validation, covering runtime extraction, issue detection, triage, culprit narrowing, rebuild, and validation.
- Implement agentic workflows using hybrid architectures (e.g., Cursor CLI agents, OpenAI SDK-based agents) to automate complex validation tasks with minimal human intervention.
- Build intelligent monitoring and analysis pipelines to process large-scale runtime logs across multiple RTL2GDS stages (FCFE, FCBE, CTS, COPT, ROPT, FOPT).
- Apply AI techniques to runtime regression detection, anomaly identification, and root-cause narrowing, reducing turnaround time from days to minutes.
- Develop automation tools and infrastructure in Python (primary), with exposure to Tcl, C/C++, or shell scripting as needed.
- Integrate validation results with internal tracking systems (e.g., Jira/STAR-style issue filing) and dashboards for status visualization.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (penultimate year preferred)
- Strong interest in AI/ML, agentic systems, automation, or software infrastructure
- Proficiency in Python; familiarity with scripting, data analysis, or AI frameworks is a strong plus
- Curiosity, strong problem-solving skills, and willingness to explore complex systems
- Good communication and presentation skills
This internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of EDA, large-scale runtime validation, and AI agent automation, shaping both future products and your own career path.
