Consultant Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business partners and vendors to develop and deploy core banking products, adhering to HSBC processes and coding standards.
• Analyse requirements, develop and review technical designs, and conduct code reviews.
• Prepare unit and system test plans, conduct unit testing and system integration testing.
• Suggest proactive solutions to issues and incidents reported on products.
• Ensure compliance with operational risk controls and regulatory standards.
• Participate in change advisory boards and regional quality forums.
• Ensure service resilience and sustainability.

Requirements:

• University graduate with a degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in IT with solid knowledge of application development and support.
• Demonstrated ability to meet critical time-sensitive objectives.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in written English.
• Familiarity with AS400, RPGLE, CL, and Java and Spring Boot is preferred.
• Solid domain knowledge of HUB, Core Banking, Interface, Payment, etc. is preferred.
• Experience in API development and knowledge of HSBC API development standards is preferred.
• Awareness of Agile/DevOps approaches and practices is an advantage.
