Description
Fuse Energy is a forward-thinking renewable energy startup on a mission to deliver a terawatt of renewable energy, fast.
We’re combining first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system. We’ve raised more than $210M from top-tier investors including Multicoin, Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, Box Group and strategic angels like Nico Rosberg, the co-founder of Solana and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify and Uber.
As our first dedicated tax hire, you will own group tax end-to-end: the compliance that has to be right, and the structuring that decides the group’s overall tax burden.
Responsibilities
- Group structuring and value creation: You will oversee the corporate structure, entity footprint, intercompany agreements, and internal financing arrangements across the group.
- Group tax compliance: You will manage UK corporation tax, VAT, payroll, and indirect taxes, plus US and other international obligations as we enter new markets.
- Transfer pricing: You will develop and implement transfer pricing policies, documentation, and intercompany pricing across a structure that gains entities regularly.
- Reliefs and credits: You will identify and claim reliefs and credits such as R&D claims, capital allowances, and full expensing on generation and storage assets.
- Compliance financial reporting: You will ensure statutory, regulatory, and filing obligations across Companies House, HMRC, Ofgem, and their overseas equivalents are accurate and on schedule.
- Corporate and general admin tied to compliance: You will handle new entity incorporation and set-up, company secretarial, registrations, and operational tasks.
