Description

Anthropic is seeking a Policy Partnerships & Convenings Lead to build and lead the Partnerships and Convenings function within the Central Policy team.

The successful candidate will manage a team of Policy Partnerships and Policy Events experts, developing a strategic, globally scalable approach to partnerships and events that align with Anthropic's policy goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing Anthropic's global partnerships strategy across internal teams
  • Scoping and executing policy partnerships programs, including in new regions
  • Managing the policy events portfolio, including Anthropic-hosted programs and presence at partner conferences
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key third-party stakeholders
  • Creating and maintaining systems to track, measure, and optimize the partnerships and convenings portfolio
  • Managing, developing, and retaining a small team
  • Building playbooks, templates, and delegation models for regional policy teams

Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience managing people doing substantive external-facing policy work
  • Ability to stand up credible programs in unfamiliar markets on compressed timelines
  • Cross-functional project and program management experience
  • Comfortable making judgment calls in ambiguous situations
  • Understanding of U.S. federal, state, and local policy dynamics
  • Budget ownership and financial accountability

Preferred qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience building and leading partnerships efforts
  • Track record of effective advocacy with third-party and policy audiences
  • Experience building and leveraging coalitions
  • Experience working with communications teams on policy campaigns
  • Ability to hold a high bar on events
  • Experience educating policy audiences about AI/ML
  • Experience leading policy or partnerships work outside the United States

The annual compensation range for this role is $295,000-$345,000 USD.
