Description

Join our team as a PreOp Registered Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care rendered preoperatively for your patients. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients' care areas adequately before each case
  • Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for patients' procedures
  • Conduct complete physical and psychological assessments and evaluations of patients' histories and diagnostic tests
  • Review patients' charts for completeness prior to surgery
  • Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed
  • Monitor patients until transferred to the OR

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required
  • 1+ year of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment
  • BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable)
  • ACLS required within 30-days of hire
  • PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire
