Job Title: Quality Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team at our Sheffield facility. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our composite projects and components. Your primary focus will be on creating and maintaining quality documentation, leading validation frameworks and activities, and providing dedicated Quality Engineering support for allocated projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain quality documentation to support new and ongoing activities
- Lead the creation and leadership of validation frameworks and activities for new products and processes with cross-functional teams
- Provide dedicated Quality Engineering support for allocated projects through the product lifecycle
- Develop Quality metrics, drive implementation, and report results to the Leadership team
- Support the team in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using a Practical Problem-Solving approach
- Lead the application of Quality tools (such as PFMEA, SPC, and MSA) in the allocated area
- Liaise with Supplier Quality for incoming material issues
- Support the development of measurement techniques for new products
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of Quality Engineering skills, including PFMEA, SPC, MSA, Root Cause Analysis, and auditing to established quality standards
- Experience of composite production is highly desirable
- Experience in automotive manufacturing is advantageous
- Knowledge of Automotive quality systems is advantageous
- Experience of niche vehicle (low volume) programmes desirable
- Experience of manufacturing using fabrics desirable
- Excellent communication and IT skills
- Experience of Minitab software is desirable
