Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Commercial Intelligence team, leading the end-to-end management of internal and external data sets that are crucial assets for our Analytics and Data Science team members. You will design and develop our data models that power our dashboards and reports, and work in partnership with our central teams to keep us connected to new sources of data.
Responsibilities:
- Involved in the entire development life cycle, from brainstorming ideas to implementing elegant solutions to find data insights.
- Gather requirements, model, and design solutions to support reporting analytics and exploratory analysis.
- Design efficient, scalable, and reliable data pipelines to move and transform data.
- Work with analysts, understand requirements, and develop technical specifications for ETLs, including documentation.
- Support analytical processes, including data table/schemas creation, ETL monitoring, query testing, dashboard creation, and reports generation.
- Oversee the use of new technologies and applications we use to integrate solutions.
- Promote strategies to improve our data modeling, quality, and architecture.
Qualification:
- 4+ years of relevant industry experience in a data engineering role with a graduate degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries and knowledge of cloud-based databases like Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, or other big data solutions.
- Experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Experience with at least one programming language like Python or Java.
- Experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
- Experience in the physical and logical design of database architecture for relational databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Knowledge of the latest data pipeline tools such as Airflow.
- Help us in developing APIs and integrating with 3rd party APIs
