Application Security Engineer

The company's Security Engineering team is responsible for building and operating critical security services, customer-facing security features, and partnering with engineering teams to make secure development the default.

The Application Security Engineer's role involves:

• Owning and engineering tier-zero security capabilities
• Designing, building, and evolving customer-facing security features
• Partnering with engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle
• Performing architecture reviews, threat modelling exercises, and security assessments
• Building security tooling, automation, and developer-facing building blocks
• Contributing to secure development standards, guidance, and best practices
• Leading application security initiatives
• Participating in security incident response
• Driving security initiatives from problem definition through design, implementation, and measurable outcomes

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven application security, product security, or security engineering experience within a SaaS environment
• Strong software engineering skills
• Deep understanding of modern application security threats and secure software development practices
• Experience designing, building, or securing authentication, authorization, identity, or enterprise security capabilities
• Hands-on security incident response experience
• Strong programming skills
• Ability to communicate security concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with engineering teams
