We're seeking a dynamic Category Implementation Buyer to join our team at Ford Motor Company. As a Category Implementation Buyer, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives for the Control Arm category. Responsibilities:
- Strategic Architect: Craft and execute groundbreaking commodity and sourcing strategies, directly impacting our competitive edge and market leadership.
- Global Intelligence Hub: Lead comprehensive commodity knowledge and market intelligence, including cost analysis and bill of process optimization, to inform critical enterprise decisions.
- Value Creation Leader: Spearhead global cost efficiency activities, setting ambitious objectives and driving successful delivery for unparalleled value and sustainable profitability.
- Program Catalyst: Directly influence ambitious vehicle programs by leading critical Program Sourcing, ensuring robust, innovative supply chain solutions from conception to launch.
- Strategic Driver: Own end-to-end development and execution of our strategic sourcing roadmap, transforming vision into tangible results that propel our business forward.
- Influential Strategist: Spearhead high-impact initiatives like Gap Week, Cost Strategy Week, and crucial QCDR/QBR Quarterly Meetings, where your insights directly shape our future trajectory.
- Advocate for Resilience: Act as a pivotal cross-functional influencer, championing long-term supply chain resiliency and optimizing value for money across global operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles
- 3+ years of experience in supplier negotiations and contract management
- 3+ years of experience in cost analysis and sourcing evaluations (e.g., commodity cost drivers, part cost breakdowns, Gap-to-OCE)
- Strategic mindset with understanding of current automotive industry challenges
- Strong working knowledge of purchasing policies, procedures, and systems
- Fully competent with Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to travel on company business as required

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
