Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post-Surgical Unit at Lexington Medical Center.
As a key member of our team, you will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and compassionate care delivery in an acute care setting.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, advocate for patient needs, and uphold professional practice standards to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Utilize essential medical technology, including vital sign machines, IV pumps, Ice Man machines, and glucometers to support comprehensive patient monitoring and care.
- Assist patients in their recovery process using mobility aids such as walkers and bedside commodes.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred (required prior to completion of orientation).
- Greater than 2 years of RN experience preferred.
Schedule Details:
- PRN, 3 12 hour shifts minimum per 6 week time track.
- 7am-7pm, primarily weekdays.
- One summer holiday and one winter holiday.
Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30
