Description

We are seeking a Senior Integration & Test Engineer to join the Omen team at our Costa Mesa HQ. As a Senior Integration & Test Engineer, you will own the build and integration process. You are the bridge between engineering design and the technicians and mechanics executing the build, ensuring that every vehicle comes together on schedule, to spec, and ready for test.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the vehicle build and integration process from BOM release through flight-ready handoff
  • Reviewing and validating build packages, work orders, and engineering drawings for completeness and producibility
  • Ensuring material readiness: tracking parts availability, coordinating procurement gaps, and managing kit staging
  • Serving as the primary technical interface between design engineering and build technicians
  • Identifying, documenting, and dispositioning build discrepancies and non-conformances; driving root cause resolution
  • Maintaining and tracking build schedules across multiple vehicle builds and locations
  • Managing configuration control for vehicle builds, ensuring as-built records match as-designed intent
  • Supporting factory acceptance testing and first-power activities following integration
  • Developing and refining integration procedures, acceptance criteria, and workmanship standards
  • Participating in design reviews to provide integration and producibility feedback to engineering
  • Traveling to build locations to oversee integration activities, support technicians, and resolve issues in real-time
  • Rolling up your sleeves when needed , willing to get hands-on alongside the build team to keep things moving

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in systems integration, vehicle build, or hardware integration and test
  • Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating build/integration activities for complex electromechanical systems
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Experience with configuration management and as-built documentation practices
  • Familiarity with BOM structures, work order systems, and material planning
  • Knowledge of electronics troubleshooting and ability to use basic test equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to translate engineering intent into clear direction for build teams
  • Self-motivation with high ownership; bias toward action when problems arise
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time

Preferred qualifications include experience with rotorcraft or VTOL platforms, background in uncrewed or autonomous vehicle integration, experience with Group 3 or larger UAS programs, defense industry experience, and experience developing or improving integration/manufacturing processes in a low-rate or prototype production environment.
