Senior QA Software Engineer - Networking

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior QA Software Test Engineer to join the NVIDIA-Cumulus system Ethernet group. The successful candidate will be part of the QA team, focusing on testing Ethernet Switch/Router products running NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux, including involvement in AI & Spectrum-X solution testing.

The role involves:

• Conducting functional testing of Layer2 and Layer3 features on NVIDIA-Mellanox Spectrum series Ethernet Switch systems
• Creating detailed test plans and test beds for features and systems
• Identifying and reporting issues, and validating fixes and workarounds
• Developing automated test suites for NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux features
• Ensuring quality through continuous functional regression testing
• Collaborating with internal engineering groups to resolve issues

Requirements include:

• B.S. degree in Engineering/Computer Science/related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering
• Strong Python or other scripting language skills
• Experience with L2 and L3 protocols such as MLAG, VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, EVPN
• Familiarity with test tools from Ixia or Spirent, and test management
• Proficiency with HP ALM
• Experience working on Unix or Linux based OS
• Strong technical abilities, problem-solving, designing, coding, and debugging skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Ethernet interface and module troubleshooting
• Knowledge of performance testing and issue resolution
• Experience with CI methodology & tools (Git, Gerrit, Jenkins etc.)
