Description
We are seeking a Project Controls Cost Analyst to join our team in Birmingham, AL. As a Project Controls Cost Analyst, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and reporting engineering, procurement, and construction cost data for assigned projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project cost data for assigned projects, following project controls cost management standards and guidelines
- Monitor alignment with project scope and schedule, ensuring change management is integrated into the cost tracking tool
- Ensure forecasting and budgeting update processes are followed, and hold vendors and contractors accountable to cost standards
- Identify and develop project-specific reports as necessary, working with the project team
- Discern cost issues and address them promptly and effectively
- Serve as the cost analyst for assigned projects, working closely with project teams and customers to ensure cost deliverables meet or exceed expectations
Requirements:
- College diploma or university degree in an engineering, technical, or business field, or minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience working directly in project controls, project management, or construction management
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Experience performing cost tracking and analysis on large EPC projects (engineering, procurement, and construction)
- Experience using Maximo, Oracle, Contruent, and other associated cost tracking tools
- Above-average understanding of project cost tracking and analysis techniques, as well as knowledge of project controls methods, procedures, and cost tools
- Knowledge of construction and engineering productivity/earned value processes
- Knowledge of project management principles
- Excellent computer skills, including Maximo, Oracle, and all Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent oral, written, and facilitation skills
- Self-motivated with attention to detail and accuracy, able to perform all job requirements with minimal supervision
Travel Requirements:
- Travel will be at a minimum of 25%, with regular site visits as required
