We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join our team as the Head of Accounting, Tax, and Payroll. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the organisation have access to the necessary budgets and resources. Your expertise will also be crucial in providing clear guidelines and relevant KPIs for content-driven steering.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Overall responsibility for accounting, tax, payroll, including treasury and time management
• Ensuring and coordinating monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB
• Responsibility for liquidity planning, cash management, and overall payment traffic, including reporting to the group
• First point of contact for accounting and tax issues, as well as coordination of cooperation with tax consultants, auditors, and business auditors
• Leadership of projects and implementation of process optimisations

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A degree in business administration with a focus on finance or accounting, or equivalent qualification
• In-depth knowledge of relevant accounting standards (HGB, ideally also IFRS)
• Excellent knowledge of tax law and fundamental SAP knowledge (FI/CO)
• Several years of leadership experience in the finance department, ideally in accounting
• Experience in working with tax consultants, auditors, and business auditors
• Strong problem-solving skills and a structured and analytical way of working
• Ability to prioritise clearly and act confidently, even in dynamic situations
• Hands-on mentality and willingness to participate operationally
• High communication and assertiveness skills, as well as team orientation
• Enjoyment of designing, optimising, and further developing processes and methods
• Fluent German and English language skills
