Description
We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team at Multimatic in Thetford, Norfolk.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Inspecting first offs, last offs, final component and assembly inspection, sub-contractor supplied parts and incoming raw materials
- Generating a SIM for any out of specification part, attaching comprehensive explanation and report of errors
- Placing out of spec items into NMNUK quarantine system and maintaining records in adherence to quality systems
- Being conversant with PPAP requirements and assisting in machine trials and gauge R&R studies
- Assisting in collection of statistical data as required
- Supporting all company and department activities associated with meeting the goal in the “Presidents Message”
- Adopting and practicing Kaizen principles and concepts, participating in continuous improvement and GEAR activities
- Following all general procedures as indicated in the General Procedures section of the Level 3 Procedures Manual
- Supporting and adhering to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management systems (e.g. TS 16949, ISO 90012014)
- Maintaining working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3 years in a quality related field
- Ability to translate technical drawings
- Familiarity with a range of metrology and inspection equipment
- Familiarity with ISO9001 : 2015 quality systems
- Computer literacy
- Ability to read, write and speak English
