Quality Inspector

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team at Multimatic in Thetford, Norfolk.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Inspecting first offs, last offs, final component and assembly inspection, sub-contractor supplied parts and incoming raw materials
• Generating a SIM for any out of specification part, attaching comprehensive explanation and report of errors
• Placing out of spec items into NMNUK quarantine system and maintaining records in adherence to quality systems
• Being conversant with PPAP requirements and assisting in machine trials and gauge R&R studies
• Assisting in collection of statistical data as required
• Supporting all company and department activities associated with meeting the goal in the “Presidents Message”
• Adopting and practicing Kaizen principles and concepts, participating in continuous improvement and GEAR activities
• Following all general procedures as indicated in the General Procedures section of the Level 3 Procedures Manual
• Supporting and adhering to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management systems (e.g. TS 16949, ISO 90012014)
• Maintaining working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3 years in a quality related field
• Ability to translate technical drawings
• Familiarity with a range of metrology and inspection equipment
• Familiarity with ISO9001 : 2015 quality systems
• Computer literacy
• Ability to read, write and speak English
