We are investing in a calibration professional to lead our internal calibration program. This role will be on the Quality Engineering team and partner across the product development organization, production organization, and field operations organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the calibration database, ensuring it is updated appropriately, including location and ownership of tools.
  • Communicate calibration recalls to tool owners and interested parties.
  • Coordinate equipment rotations to ensure users and production are not starved of resources.
  • Manage the physical recall of devices requiring calibration.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure for equipment flagged for calibration.
  • Create processes and procedures documenting the standard operations of the calibration program.
  • Coordinate calibration activities with vendors.
  • Support the creation, upkeep, and communication of calibration procedures and documented information.
  • Manage the risk assessment process for product affected by tools found out of calibration.
  • Ensure calibrated tooling meets required calibration standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field.
  • Experience managing calibration at a large organization and production environment.
  • Experience working with and managing 3rd party calibration vendors.
  • Experience improving processes and procedures, specifically around calibration.
  • Familiar with common industry calibration standards and methods.
  • Familiarization with AS9100 and/or other external auditing and compliance agencies and standards.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a metrology department.
  • Experience creating or establishing a metrology department.
  • Experience with precise measurement tools.
  • Experience with preparing for external audits.
  • Experience with inspection processes and procedures.
