Join Finance at Ford Motor Company as a Payroll and Tax Analyst. In this role, you will partner with operations to drive outstanding business results and enhance Ford's industry leadership. You will contribute financial expertise that impacts all areas of our company, including planning, manufacturing, marketing, and global distribution.
The Internal Service Employees (ISE), Canadian Commuters, and Stock Compensation Tax desk is one of the key positions on the Employee Payments' (Payroll) Team. This role involves understanding end-to-end payroll processes for employees in multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations, accurate data management, and timely payments, while also addressing employee queries and collaborating with HR and finance teams.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare balance adjustments for current tax year and corrections of W-2s for prior tax years in the Payroll system.
- Own the process of the year-end W-2 for ISEs and Canadian Commuters, including but not limited to work closely with internal and external partners to ensure that all required information is included on employees' payroll records and W-2s.
- Assist in auditing payroll simulation runs, including key pre-validations.
- Review variance analysis preparing for certain tax deductions and prepare an explanation of variance if needed.
- Prepare ISE Receivables Aging and Reserve Analysis on a quarterly basis.
- Process Tax Equalization payments as instructed by Weichert, including the set-up of monthly deductions for Tax Equalization receivables as instructed by Talent Mobility team.
- Assist with Tax Equalization-receivable related escalations, inquiries, and validate Tax Equalization receivable write-off proposals by Talent Mobility.
- Responsible for managing the Deloitte Hypo Tax interface and reviewing file to ensure transactions are correct.
- Responsible for managing the Weichert interface and reviewing file to ensure transactions such as Hardship, Housing, Settling and Living Allowances for ISEs are correct.
- Provide payroll data/reports to Weichert and Deloitte as needed.
- Responsible for managing and processing the Stock Compensation payment file from the compensation team and our external vendor Morgan Stanley.
- Serve as the backup to the payroll specialist by processing payrolls in adherence with federal, state, and regional pay guidelines.
- Lead the annual retirement benefits audit with BDO Accounting firm and the Employee Benefits Office.
- Prepare Ops Review Metrics data and slides for the quarterly Op Review and Metrics meeting, as it relates to the balance adjustments and W-2/W-2C stats.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience processing and/or calculating payroll in a multi-state environment.
- Must have payroll software and systems experience, preferably Oracle Cloud.
- Payroll tax experience is a must (international tax experience is encouraged).
- Must be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Must keep abreast of legislative/regulatory updates and best practices for payroll including but limited to FLSA, FMLA, and other common payroll compliance related topics.

- Master's degree in accounting, finance, MBA, or a related field is desired.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), or CPA is encouraged.
- Understanding basic accounting principles (debits, credits, general ledger, month-end and quarter-end close, etc.).
