Fleet Manager

Fuse Energy is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee its 180-strong van fleet and growing HGV operation based in Birmingham.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the fleet, ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy and available
• Acting as the nominated Transport Manager on the Operator Licence, taking legal responsibility for HGV compliance
• Coordinating servicing, maintenance, MOT, and repair schedules across the fleet
• Ensuring full compliance with UK fleet, Operator Licence, and road safety regulations
• Managing fleet running costs, including leasing, fuel, insurance, tyres, and parts contracts
• Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring duty-of-care obligations are met

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in road haulage (HGV)
• At least 3 years of experience managing a sizeable mixed van/HGV fleet
• Demonstrated experience as a nominated Transport Manager
• Strong working knowledge of UK fleet compliance for sub-3.5t vehicles
• Confidence using fleet management software and telematics
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
