The Ads Data Management Platform team at Microsoft AI is seeking a Senior Applied Data Scientist to elevate the quality of the User Identity graph as it scales across all MAI surfaces. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics with a proven track record of developing predictive models, conducting rigorous data analysis, and translating complex data into actionable insights that drive business impact.
As an Applied Data Scientist, you will play a key role in driving the data strategy by designing and implementing statistical models and data-driven experiments. You will ensure the integrity, reliability, and quality of large-scale datasets while building predictive models and analytical frameworks that inform product development and unlock new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Gain expertise in building identity graphs, including applicable research techniques.
- Review business requirements and incorporate research to meet business goals.
- Provide strategic direction for the kinds of data used to solve problems and apply deep subject matter knowledge to support business impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience.
- Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience.
- Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience.
- Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience.
- 3+ years experience conducting research as part of a research program.
- 1+ year(s) experience developing and deploying live production systems.
- Experience with developing graph-based identity models to perform cross-device user stitching.
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 – $234,700 per year.
