HAL - Beverage Runner - PTAMI

As a Beverage Runner at Holland America Group, you will be responsible for providing courteous and professional service to guests and fellow team members while striving to meet and exceed revenue goals.

You will assist Bartenders, Servers, and Dining team members in preparing and serving quality beverages according to recipes and standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with beverage service in all dining and specialty restaurant outlets
• Providing deck service, including clearing open decks, setting up deck furniture, and offering towel service
• Promoting special cocktails, daily cocktails, and special events
• Serving appetizers and beverages in bars and lounges
• Garnishing beverages and delivering orders promptly
• Responding to changes in the Beverage Department
• Reporting to Bartender/Beverage Management
• Carrying out reasonable assignments from Bartender and Beverage Management
• Possessing basic product knowledge of beverage offerings and mixology
• Anticipating guest needs and ensuring they are met
• Greeting and welcoming guests
• Maintaining deck furniture and reporting maintenance issues
• Collaborating with other team members to ensure guest satisfaction
• Maintaining professional interpersonal skills and a well-groomed appearance
• Following sanitation guidelines and safety procedures
• Assisting with new teammate training and resolving service deficiencies
• Communicating with Beverage Manager and maintaining a clean workspace
• Recognizing and addressing intoxicated guests
• Performing related duties as required

Internal candidates require:

• Completion of at least one contract of HAL shipboard experience in hotel or galley background
• Passion for beverages and experience in food and beverage service
• Ability to give and receive instructions and present information effectively
• Overall exceed expectation rating in previous contracts
• No active warnings or disciplinary actions
• Ability to speak additional languages
