Description
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior GPU System Software Engineer to join the GPU System Software organization. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a dynamic team, focusing on product lines ranging from consumer graphics to self-driving cars and artificial intelligence.
The role involves designing, developing, and testing key aspects of the GPU kernel driver, with a focus on enabling best-in-class power, performance, security, and safety across Linux, QNX, and Android. The engineer will work closely with multi-functional teams, including Hardware and Software teams, to understand requirements for new hardware and create solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test GPU kernel driver aspects
- Work with teams to understand requirements for new hardware and create solutions
- Perform Safety and Security analysis of the design and implement mechanisms
Requirements:
- BS/MS degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years of relevant software development experience
- Hands-on technical experience in complex software and hardware designs
- Strong understanding of Multicore hardware, operating systems design, concurrency, and real-time programming
- Outstanding C programming and low-level driver experience
- Experience with ARM and RISCV based processor architecture
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous experience in architecting and developing GPU kernel driver on Linux or QNX
- Understanding of GPU software stack across user space, kernel, and firmware
- Experience in certifying embedded device drivers to Functional Safety or Cybersecurity standards
- Experience with system architecture involving virtualization
- Used GenAI-based workflows for System SW development and debugging
