Description
We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Licensing Manager to manage our portfolio of tier-one global licensing accounts and drive international licensing projects from inception to final product launch.
As a Senior Licensing Manager, you will independently manage and develop strategic relationships with major international licensors, serving as the primary point of contact for tier-one accounts. You will lead and execute complex international licensing projects, ensuring requirements and responsibilities are met from initial acquisition/negotiation through contract execution, product development, and market launch.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Licensing Management: Independently manage and develop strategic relationships with major international licensors, serving as the primary point of contact for tier-one accounts.
- International Project Leadership: Lead and execute complex international licensing projects, ensuring requirements and responsibilities are met from initial acquisition/negotiation through contract execution, product development, and market launch.
- Commercial Acumen & Financial Oversight: Develop, manage, and articulate the licensing P&L (Profit & Loss) from start to finish, ensuring clear communication of financial performance and projections to executive leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key communication link, effectively collaborating with internal departments (e.g., product development, marketing, legal, finance) and external licensing agencies and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Market and Industry Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding and awareness of recent developments and trends in the global licensing and entertainment industries.
- Licensing Strategy Development: Contribute to the overall inbound and outbound licensing strategy, leveraging vast experience to identify new opportunities and maximize existing partnerships.
Requirements include:
- Extensive experience in managing major licensing accounts on an international scale.
- Deep, demonstrable familiarity with the global toy and entertainment industry, with a strong focus on the EMEA and North American markets.
- Comprehensive understanding of licensing financial models and the ability to independently manage and communicate a full licensing P&L.
- Proven experience in both inbound and outbound licensing is highly desirable.
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior executives and creative agencies globally.
- A proactive, hands-on, and results-oriented personality with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
