We are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer, Casting to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain organisation, you will play a crucial role in enabling the development and production flow of our critical supply base.
You will work closely with internal engineering, quality, supply chain and manufacturing departments, as well as directly with suppliers, to execute effective, creative and smart supply chain strategies to achieve production goals.
Key responsibilities include owning and managing mechanical casting commodities/subcategories to execute supplier production strategies across our business lines, vetting supplier production capabilities, and supporting supplier quality engineers in ensuring suppliers understand and adhere to part quality criteria.
You will also be responsible for bringing up new production tooling & lines, development at supplier sites to ensure materials, processes & tools meet product performance, quality and demand requirements.
In addition, you will establish and drive process performance and controls reviews at supplier sites, identify and drive product and process improvements, and support root cause task forces at Anduril.
To be successful in this role, you will need a bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering or a related technical field, and 6+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialisation within a manufacturing environment.
You will also need experience with specific category technical expertise, such as mechanical casting manufacturing, IPC standards, CAD, and GD&T.
Additionally, you must be able to travel at least 50% of the time and relocate to Costa Mesa, CA if not already local.
Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in mechanical or metallurgical/materials engineering, previous experience in defence, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or another related industry, and a strong understanding of quality systems, standards and certifications.
As a senior supply chain manufacturing engineer, you will be responsible for driving process improvements, reducing supply risk, eliminating potential defects and improving cycle time over the product lifecycle.
