Patient Nutrition Representative

We are seeking a Patient Nutrition Representative to join our team at Lexington Medical Center - Food and Nutrition: Kitchen. As a Patient Nutrition Representative, you will play a vital role in delivering and picking up patient meal trays, transporting patient meal carts, and cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver, serve, and retrieve food trays/carts in a courteous, safe, efficient, and sanitary manner
• Contribute to overall positive patient and customer satisfaction
• Store and distribute food, supplies, and equipment around the hospital and department
• Maintain a 97% or better sanitation rating from the Health Department
• Follow all workplace safety and sanitation rules and regulations
• Complete required in-service training, job-specific training, and annual Compliance and HIPAA training
• Participate in department's performance improvement initiatives
• Communicate with nursing staff as needed
• Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Customer service experience required
• Must be literate in English and able to follow instructions
• Comfortable interacting with patients, families, and/or caregivers
• Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people
• Desire to achieve high customer service standards
• Ability to adjust to the needs of the department
• Ability to work weekends and holidays

Work Environment:

• May be required to work in all areas of the Food and Nutrition Services departments
• Exposure to wet tile floors and dangerous, sharp equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling: 20 lbs. maximum, 50 lbs. maximum, 100 lbs. maximum
