Job Overview

The Editorial Standards team at Anthropic maintains the company's voice, ensuring it remains clear, accurate, and consistent. As a Standards Editor, you will be responsible for editing and writing content that shapes how people encounter Anthropic. This includes refining news, announcements, and research posts, as well as developing and maintaining the editorial style guide.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and edit content for anthropic.com, focusing on clarity, accuracy, and consistency with the company's voice.
• Apply and maintain the editorial style guide.
• Collaborate with editors, brand, design, and web teams on cross-functional projects.
• Contribute to templates, processes, and Claude-assisted workflows that improve publishing efficiency and consistency.

Requirements

• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a portfolio of published work demonstrating range across formats.
• Strong copy editing and proofreading abilities, with command of grammar, usage, and a recognized style guide.
• Experience working in a content management system and publishing web content.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a track record of delivering polished, error-free work on deadline.
• Interest in AI, with the ability to write accurately and accessibly about complex, technical topics.
• Comfort taking ownership of work in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience editing announcements in-house at a technology company or media organization.
• Experience writing or editing for a brand with a distinctive, well-defined voice.
• Ability to write for social audiences and adapt tone and length across different channels.
• Familiarity with web publishing workflows, basic HTML, and SEO fundamentals.
• Experience using AI tools like Claude to streamline editorial work.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary: $265,000 - $295,000 USD
