Description
We are seeking an HR Advisor to join our team at Manchester Airport, England, United Kingdom. This is a contract role for 10 months, working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be part of a small, high-performing team and will work in a fast-paced environment supporting a busy, operationally driven business.
The HR Advisor will provide timely advice on employee relations matters, such as flexible working, probations, unauthorised absence, disciplinary, welfare and absence management in line with company policies and ACAS best practice. They will also be involved in ad-hoc projects and work with the wider HR team.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact for managers on employee relations matters
- Log and update employee relations cases for reporting purposes
- Ensure employee relations matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with ACAS best practice, company policy, and legal requirements
- Compose letters where required in line with company policy or initiatives
- Support the team with training and delivery of training on employee relations
- Support operational managers with note taking during employee relations meetings
- Lead on formal meetings when needed
- Support wider HR team in implementing people strategies and equality objectives
- Work closely with colleagues to drive and deliver on HR team goals and objectives
- Work in partnership with the operational team to support and drive new HR related initiatives and continuous improvement
- Support the wider HR Team in delivering annual appraisal objectives/goals
- Support the regional HR Manager during annual pay negotiations
- Support the Operational team in continuous development of internal succession planning
- Update spreadsheets and compose accurate reports
- Collate data and information for reports and support with audits
- Deal with payroll queries
- Log payroll exceptions
- Review employee pay slips for inaccuracies
- Provide ER advice to Managers
- Screen CV's, arrange and hold interviews, and support with onboarding
- Ensure business adherence to labour costs
Requirements:
- Previous experience within an HR role, ideally CIPD 3 qualified
- Competent use of Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Ability to prioritise effectively
- Keen eye for detail
- Good English language
