As a Planning & Performance Senior SME, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance FP&A organization in delivering trusted, actionable insights to business and functional leaders.
Responsibilities include analysis, reporting, and insight generation across third-party spend, value realization (cost and CapEx), and supplier performance, linking outcomes to value delivery and cost avoidance targets across P&O and G&LCE businesses.
In this role, you will:
- Support producing integrated insights on third-party spend and supplier performance, highlighting impacts on cost and capital challenges across P&O and G&LCE businesses.
- Provide reporting and analysis of savings delivery, cost avoidance, inflation exposure, and contract status, flagging early risk indicators for Procurement leadership.
- Identify and recommend operational optimization opportunities within Procurement, develop associated action plans, and track value realization.
- Support the continuous development of standardised reporting and dashboards for the Procurement LT and the business partners.
- Partner with Cost Performance Leads to inform and shape GFO / GFR submissions.
- Interact with P&O business Planning & Performance teams to align on total costs and savings.
What You will need to be successful:
- Degree-level qualification in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in financial management and reporting, with procurement and supply chain experience considered a plus.
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, able to generate insights from multiple or incomplete data sources (using Excel, Power BI, or other analytical tools) to support executive decision-making.
- Experience working in matrix organizations and centralized functions, with the ability to self-prioritize and manage competing partner demands under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, capable of articulating procurement performance and value delivery clearly to both finance and non-finance partners.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships, influence effectively, and collaborate across teams and partners.
- Working knowledge of advanced analytics, data science, and visualization techniques to support reporting and insights development.
