Description
As a Thermal Engineer Intern at Astranis, you will have an amazing opportunity to work on hard problems and contribute to the design, evaluation, build, and test of satellite hardware and/or software. You will support design trades that successfully balance performance margins, resource use, risk, cost, and schedule. Your responsibilities will include performing thermal analysis on various types of hardware, designing, evaluating, procuring, and testing thermal solutions, developing processes and procedures for integration and assembly, and collaborating with the integration and test team in the installation of thermal hardware as needed.
Requirements include currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent technical degree, a passion and enthusiasm for hardware development, demonstrated ability to personally design, build, and test hardware from scratch, and US Citizenship or Green Card. Experience with CAD, analytical software thermal analysis such as ANSYS and Thermal Desktop, electronics systems design and packaging, and projects or previous internships related to aerospace are considered a bonus.
