Description

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team at Gainesville Internal Medicine Practice. As an LPN/LVN, you will provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient care for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for exams, instructing patients on sample collection, and obtaining vitals
  • Notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments, and instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions
  • Manage patient records, including chart entries and posting lab/test results
  • Schedule tests and treatments, including arranging referrals to specialists and obtaining pre-authorizations
  • Assist providers with physical exams and preparation for physicals
  • Contact pharmacies to order prescriptions and notify patients
  • Control inventory and monitor supplies
  • Record patient health histories and note abnormal conditions for physicians
  • Respond to and screen telephone calls for referrals to nurses or physicians
  • Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow

Qualifications:

  • Degree from an accredited school of practical nursing required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred
  • Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse following state regulations
  • eCW experience is a plus
