Compensation

The base pay for this role is $293K – $325K, with equity offered. Total compensation includes generous equity, performance-related bonuses, and benefits.

About the Role

As a Founding Full-Stack Software Engineer on the Legal team, you'll help imagine, build, and scale new AI-powered products. You'll work across the stack to design user experiences, build backend systems, and create foundations for products used by legal professionals.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship full-stack products leveraging OpenAI models for legal workflows
• Own projects end-to-end, from prototypes to production deployment
• Design and develop intuitive user experiences
• Build scalable systems on top of OpenAI's platforms and APIs
• Partner with product managers, designers, and customers to identify opportunities
• Rapidly prototype and experiment with new AI capabilities
• Develop a deep understanding of legal workflows and customer needs

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience building and shipping full-stack applications end-to-end
• Strong frontend and backend engineering skills
• Comfortable moving quickly, iterating based on feedback, and making technical decisions
• Strong product instincts and collaboration skills
• Excited by emerging AI capabilities and rethinking software development
• Ability to learn quickly and choose the right tools to solve problems
• Thrive in small, high-ownership teams with significant influence over product direction
