Senior Staff Software Engineer, iOS Platform

We're looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer, iOS Platform to help guide our mobile efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, build, test, and refine Gusto's iOS app
• Utilize AI agents to deliver high-quality output quickly
• Identify and advocate for best practices, architecture, and process
• Enhance and maintain iOS mobile infrastructure
• Build and scale essential services
• Develop, iterate, and improve product features
• Collaborate with product management, design, and partner teams

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in Swift and iOS software engineering
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-driven mindset
• Proficiency in iOS testing frameworks
• Experience in developing platform components
• Strong critical thinking abilities

Bonus points:

• Experience delivering high-quality code across a diverse tech stack
• Experience with analytics and monitoring tools
• Experience with mobile infrastructure
• Building a strong mobile foundation
• Mobile Testing-at-scale
• Strong knowledge of GraphQL
