Description
At HSBC, we're seeking a Credit Manager to join our Wholesale Credit & Market Risk team in Paris. As a key credit approval and portfolio oversight partner for Continental Europe business and product teams, you'll ensure strong asset quality and timely, commercially competitive credit decisions.
In this role, you'll manage a portfolio and act as the primary contact for all Wholesale Credit Risk matters, reviewing and recommending credit proposals in line with authorised credit limits. You'll maintain sound credit quality aligned to HSBC's credit culture and promote prudent lending to minimise credit losses.
Key responsibilities include:

- Maintaining sound credit quality aligned to HSBC's credit culture
- Identifying, escalating and remediating emerging risks and sub-standard exposures
- Engaging stakeholders across Business/Product/Group and in-country Risk teams
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit risk management, with experience in relevant business lines and exposure to Banks, Sovereigns and NBFI credit scopes. You'll possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and build effective relationships across functions and geographies.
